Tree work sits in an unusual position online. The customer is often anxious rather than excited: a large tree is leaning over a roof, or a council notice has arrived, and they need someone qualified today. That emotional starting point shaped every decision on this build. The first screen answers the three questions a worried homeowner asks before anything else: are you certified, are you insured, and how fast can you look at it.
Structurally, the site was split so each tree service stands on its own. Removal, felling, pruning, hedge trimming, stump grinding, planting and green waste removal each received a dedicated page with its own description, its own photography and its own quote route. That separation matters twice over: a visitor lands directly on the service they searched for, and each page has a single focused subject that search engines can rank rather than one page trying to cover seven jobs at once.
Location was handled the same way. The business serves Kapiti Coast, Wellington City, Porirua, the Hutt Valley, Levin and Otaki, and those areas are named in the content rather than hidden in a footer, because New Zealand homeowners search by suburb before they search by company. A before and after gallery carries the proof, Google reviews sit near the quote calls to action instead of on a separate testimonials page nobody visits, and a blog plus FAQ section gives the site a reason to keep earning local search traffic after launch.
The visual direction was deliberately quiet. Natural greens, generous white space and large photography of real jobs, with no stock imagery and no aggressive sales banners. Premium in this trade reads as calm and competent, not loud. Every page ends with the same single action, a free quote request, supported by click to call and WhatsApp buttons so a visitor on a phone in their own garden can reach the team in one tap.
The result is a New Zealand presence that does two jobs at once: it earns local searches across the Wellington region, then converts them into booked site visits instead of leaving the visitor to compare five identical websites.
Outcome
A credible New Zealand presence that ranks for local tree care searches and converts them into booked site visits.
